About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:

• Undertake duties to maintain, fault find and repair plant and equipment.
• Contributing to maintenance and repair of operational assets.
• Undertake activities associated with docking, undocking and transfer vessels and other maritime structures.
• Assisting with services roll out and dry berth setup.
• Reporting any incidents relating to impact on the environment or safe operations.
• Complying with all policies and procedures, including the code and conduct and following reasonable directions.

What we’re looking for - Skills & Experience

• Seeking a 2nd or 3rd year Fitter and Turner Apprentice ready to progress their apprenticeship with a supportive and experienced team.
• Also welcoming motivated 1st Year Apprentices who are eager to learn and develop their skills.
• Ability and willingness to work safely in a variety of challenging conditions, including at heights, over or on water, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions (hot, cold, or wet).
• Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle, as well as be eligible to obtain any required Defence security clearances
