Our client is an instantly recognisable retail brand. The company is going through a very exciting period with international expansion and increased personal investment from the owner. This role comes with a degree of autonomy and would suit a candidate who is comfortable working independently. The purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of the company’s indirect tax services in the UK, including responsibility for VAT filings and payments, reporting, governance and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Duties
- Preparing and filing UK, Irish and Jersey VAT/GST returns
- Reviewing internal controls and providing advice to the business
- Supporting the design and delivery of an updated indirect tax risk framework
- Assist with the MTD implementation
- Review and document VAT processes in line with the governance framework
About you
- This role is suited to candidates with diverse industry experience
- Good understating of VAT return preparation
- Advanced level of Excel, with desire to embrace new technology
