Indirect Tax Specialist - Environmental Services Business (JO-2110-183601) West Midlands, England

Our client is the UK leader in resource management, they provide a comprehensive range of waste, water and energy management services. You will be joining a relatively large and well-established in-house tax team. This role will be aimed at supporting the Indirect Tax lead and will be responsible for all indirect taxes across the UK and Ireland. This role would suit a part qualified or newly qualified VAT professional looking to expand their knowledge of other indirect taxes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly returns for all UK VAT and Landfill registrations
- Continuous review of tax procedures and controls
- Ensure compliance reporting processes are effectively maintained and updated
- Provide advice on indirect tax related issues
- Support in the preparation of Excise Duty returns
About you:
- Part qualified or recently qualified
- Proven Indirect Tax experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Can build relationships and trust internally and externally
