SERVICE OPERATOR

Working in partnership a waste management company in Hull, we are recruiting a reliable, hardworking Service Operator with a valid CCNSG safety passport. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a great pay rate (£14.25ph) and overtime paid at even better premium rates. You will need to have confined spaces and water jetting certificates.

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm - with plenty of optional overtime available

The Service Operator role is a Temp to Perm position that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this. Once you have completed 12 weeks work you will be offered a permanent placement.

Job description

As an Service Operator you will be responsible for the industrial cleaning, maintenance support, waste handling, and site safety work across factories, refineries, treatment plants, and industrial facilities. Day to day you will be expected to;

·       Carry out industrial cleaning work on tankers, trailers and other types of containers

·       Work in confined spaces carrying out tank cleans with full breathing apparatus

·       Operate water Jetting, hydro-cutting and vacuumation equipment

·       Do general site cleaning, repairs and maintenance

·       Carry out manual, physical work including heavy lifting and working outdoors

·       Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Industrial Labourer you must;

·       Have a valid CCNSG safety certificate/passport.

·       Have a valid water jetting certificate

·       Have a valid high risk confined spaces certificate

·       Be able to pass a drug and Alcohol test

·       Be able to pass a medical, to include high blood pressure, BMI

·       Be willing to be clean shaven for wearing breathing apparatus

·       Reliable with good timekeeping.

Ideally you will also have a driving license but this is not essential.
