WASTE OPERATIVE
We are recruiting reliable and hardworking Waste Operatives to join a leading food waste recycling and renewable energy company based in North Cave. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent pay rates (£14.42ph) with guaranteed stability and room for progression. 
Please note: This role is based within a waste processing environment. This site can be dirty, muddy, dusty and there are strong odours. Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions daily.

Shift pattern/ Working hours:
6am-6pm on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern 

Start date / Duration
The Waste Operative position will commence with immediate effect, with guaranteed full time hours and will go permanent after 12 weeks service.

Job Description
As a Waste operative you will be responsible for keeping materials moving safely and efficiently through the recycling process. Your day to day duties will include;

• waste sorting — separating food waste, oils, and recyclable materials
• machine operation — using plant equipment (training provided) and removing waste, residue, and debris from equipment and work areas
• yard and plant support — loading, unloading, and moving materials and using cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely
• health & safety compliance — following site rules and safe working practices 

Requirements:
To be successful for the position of Waste Operative you must; 

• Be physically fit and able to carry out manual, hands on work
• Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Have previous industrial cleaning or similar experience
• Be willing to undertake a variety of tasks, including ad hoc yard duties
• Forklift license is desired although not essential (candidates with a valid counterbalance license will be paid at a higher rate)
