Title: Safety & Quality Lead

What will this job do to improve your life?

You'll step into a role where you have genuine influence over how safety is delivered across major renewable energy projects. Rather than simply maintaining systems, you'll help shape the safety culture across multiple active construction sites while working closely with project leadership and delivery teams.

This is an opportunity to become the key safety figure within a growing renewable energy business, building your profile across large-scale solar and battery projects while creating safer, more efficient project environments. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, the support of experienced project teams and the ability to see the direct impact of your work on site every day.

About the role

Reporting into senior project leadership, you'll work closely with Project Managers, site teams and contractors to ensure safety remains the highest priority across all project activities. While quality forms part of the role, the primary focus is driving strong safety outcomes, safe work practices and positive site behaviours.

This is a hybrid position combining office and site-based work, with regular travel across projects in regional NSW. Many project locations are within similar regions and hire vehicles will be provided for site travel when required.

• Support Project Managers with practical safety guidance and site-based decision making

Skills/experience

• Strong background in Health, Safety & Environment within construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial environments
• Experience managing safety systems across active project sites
• Ability to build credibility with site teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of Australian safety legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience across renewable energy, utilities, construction or major infrastructure projects
• High-energy approach with the ability to positively influence project teams

Benefits

• Hybrid working between office and site
• Exposure to large-scale solar and battery projects
• Strong autonomy and visibility within the business
• Opportunity to influence safety culture across multiple projects
• Clear pathway for long-term career growth
• Travel support and hire vehicles provided for site visits

Company & culture

This is a business that genuinely prioritises safety and expects its leaders to do the same. They operate with a hands-on, collaborative approach and are looking for someone who can build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.

The team values practical experience, positive energy and people who can engage effectively with both site crews and senior leadership. Cultural fit is critical, and they are looking for someone who can lead by example, communicate clearly and help create safer project environments as the business continues to grow.
