Cyber Security Specialist

£55,000 + Excellent permanent benefits

Permanent – 2 days on-site (London)

We’re looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join our Information & Cyber Security Team. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, this role offers the chance to act as a security subject matter expert (SME) across a variety of projects, helping to shape and strengthen our security posture.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small, highly skilled team with a broad remit, operating primarily in the cloud (Azure) with a lighter on-premise footprint.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the security SME, embedding security into project plans and deliverables.
• Provide expert advice on security solutions, including Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Conduct security assessments of systems, applications, and processes.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
• Drive risk management practices, aligning security outcomes with business objectives.
• Promote security awareness across the organisation, including delivering training and guidance.
• Advise on cloud security best practice, with a focus on Azure security tools (e.g. Azure Policy).

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of information and cyber security principles.
• Hands-on experience with security assessments and risk management methodologies.
• Proficiency in cloud security, especially Azure security services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and SIEM solutions.
• Knowledge of standards/frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar) are desirable.
