THE ROLE
Our client is expanding their agricultural/farming and estates sector work and as a result need to appoint a new solicitor within their Commercial Property Team. This is a varied and stimulating area of work, providing excellent prospects for job satisfaction and career development.
You will be working closely with two Senior Associates.
You will advise and assist on: -
- a wide range of matters connected with rural land including sales and acquisitions of agricultural land and buildings;
- drafting overage provisions;
- farm-related tenancy issues including succession rights and surrenders;
- wayleaves and easements;
- single farm/basic payment subsidy transfers;
- property development/investment work and more.
You may, from time to time, also get involved in wider property work supporting the rest of the team.
You’ll be encouraged to get involved in business development and other activities as part of growing the practice and your own skills and reputation.
THE CANDIDATE
The role is suitable for a newly qualified solicitor.
You should have good property experience acquired during your training contract, although specific agricultural experience is not essential.
You will, however, need to be able to demonstrate an interest in the sector and an affinity with clients and contacts.
You will receive good supervision and training, with the opportunity in time to build a name for yourself in a rewarding and specialist discipline.
