General Practitioner -  Pittsworth


Pittsworth is a model country town 40km southwest of Toowoomba and has a population of over 5000 including the surrounding shire. Pittsworth has a very good variety of retail facilities including a large IGA and Woolworths, a Community centre, a private hospital with residential age care facility and modern dementia unit, a State Primary and High School, a Private Primary School, an Athletics /AFL oval, a NRL field with adjoining Soccer fields, a rejuvenated Olympic size Swimming pool and a quality gym facility.

Pittsworth position is ideal for enjoying the space, clean air and quiet of country living whilst being able to enjoy the attractions of a city as large as Toowoomba only 30 minutes away and Brisbane only two hours away or the Gold Coast or Sunshine coasts less than three hours away.

We are a privately owned General Practice situated in the main stream of the town and have a mixed billing demographics. The practice is well equipped for all aspects of General Practice including equipment such as spirometer, audiometry and ECG machines. All consulting rooms are very spacious with entry to an outside garden area. There is a well equipped treatment room for procedures. Staff support includes a Practice Manger, Registered Midwife/Nurse and administration. There is a Sullivan & Nicholaides for blood services next door. We are an AGPAL accredited Practice. The centre is computerised.

This is very manageable and potentially could involve being on call alternate nights/weekends with flexibility. For emergency after hours patients also attend the St Vincent’s Hospital Private Emergency Centre or the Toowoomba Base Hospital.
Pittsworth has a very good locally based Ambulance Service which is much used in transporting patients to Toowoomba when required.
