Job Summary

In relation to PLCM, manages the replenishment of finished goods to and from the Manufacturing Plants and/or third party vendors and the Distribution Centers as required, to ensure the balanced supply of product and inventory levels within the distribution centers. Expedites product, communicates issues and potential resolutions. Works with Demand Planning, Customer Service, and Sales/Marketing to describe the supply plan whenever issues occur with respect to achieving customer commitments. Works pro-actively in managing inventory levels & supply plans. Owns New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings, and weekly 1:1 meetings with the Demand & Marketing teams, to establish a strong collaborative and close loop communication process. Works closely with the E&O team in efforts to mitigate inventory prior to the point of financial reserves. Leads process improvement projects within the Supply Chain organization.

 



Primary Duties & Responsibilities

(50%) NPI Process Management

  • Manages & maintains FG Item Setup process in all systems
  • Coordinates & communicates cross-functionally as needed to deliver on NPI and Product Discontinuances to targeted dates
  • Acts as key point of contact for Supply Chain on NPI related activities
  • Leads NPI meetings & 1:1 meetings with Marketing and Demand Planning
  • Escalates issues when required capacity/supply needs are not met for customer delivery dates
  • Provides new product and promotion volume information to vendors to initiate production planning
  • Provides vendors updates on significant demand changes (product updates, promotions, deletions, rework, etc.)

(30%) Multifunctional Collaboration/Problem Solver

  • Participates in monthly PSI handshake meetings to represent PLCM activities
  • Works closely with Marketing on planning new product introduction, customer mix reset management and product packaging changes
  • Establishes & executes action plan to achieve monthly inventory goals & fill rate measurements
  • Supports the S&OP process. Ensures the efficient planning of product promotions, new production introductions and product deletions
  • Identifies and resolves supply and demand issues in order to maximize fill rates and minimize inventory
  • Assists planners in managing supply plan to meet inventory targets & positive sku health
  • Supports the management of excess and obsolete finished goods inventories. Supports key performance improvement initiatives

(20%) Continuous Process Improvement

  • Identifies and Leads Process Improvement Projects within the Supply Chain organization

 



Education and Experience Profile

  • BA/BS Required, MBA desired
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain required
  • APICS Membership and Participation encouraged
  • CertifiedCPIM,CFPIM, orCSCP desired

     

 



Required Skills

  • Extensive functional knowledge of planning, forecasting and related supply chain areas
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Experience leading projects, and/or business teams or providing key technical expertise
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with JDA and/or SAP a plus
