Role Overview

We are looking for a Europe-based AI Developer to join a strategic manufacturing transformation initiative. The successful candidate will leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies to deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, production reliability, product quality, and automation across manufacturing environments.
This position requires a combination of strong AI development expertise and hands-on manufacturing industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions supporting manufacturing operations
  • Develop predictive maintenance models using machine, equipment, and sensor data
  • Create computer vision models for automated quality inspection and defect detection
  • Build forecasting models for production planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimisation
  • Develop Generative AI and LLM-based applications to enhance operational processes and knowledge management
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and business teams to identify and deliver AI use cases
  • Build scalable data pipelines and support AI model deployment
  • Implement MLOps best practices including monitoring, retraining, and performance optimisation
  • Analyse large-scale industrial datasets to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Integrate AI solutions into existing manufacturing and enterprise platforms
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational requirements

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience developing AI and Machine Learning solutions
  • 5+ years of experience within manufacturing environments (mandatory)
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI technologies
  • Experience deploying AI models in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Knowledge of industrial data platforms, Industrial IoT, and manufacturing systems
  • Experience with data engineering concepts and MLOps methodologies
  • Understanding of production environments and manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
