We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a high-end restaurant located in Edinburgh city centre.
This is a permanent, full-time, salaried position offering stability, career progression, and a brilliant working environment.
You’ll be joining a passionate and skilled brigade, contributing to a high-quality culinary offering throughout this property.

The successful Sous will receive a starting salary of £40k, plus amazing tronc payments of £10k+ and a range of additional non-financial benefits.

In this Sous role itself
• Assist the senior kitchen leadership team in delivering smooth and efficient kitchen operations, giving direction and maintaining excellent food safety standards at all times.
• Run service and offer training/leadership experience across multiple areas of the kitchen through regular rotation of the team.
• Apply sound knowledge of ingredients, food preparation methods, and food hygiene requirements.
• Focus on delivering high-quality food and first-class customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a flexible, enthusiastic attitude and effectively manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrate excellent organisation and reliability while thriving in a busy kitchen environment.

You, our next Super Sous
• Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or above in a busy, quality kitchen, operating around rosette level as a minimum.
• SVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent practical kitchen experience is evident.
• Passionate about food, quality and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
• Flexible and reliable with a positive, team-first attitude.
