Job Title: Care Assistant
Location: Bath, BA2 3GJ
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday (08:00 AM – 17:00 PM) and Saturday (08:30 AM – 12:00 PM).
Contract Type: Full-time (Contracted Hours)
Specialism: Complex Care - Spinal Cord Injury

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to support an active individual with complex needs. The client is an individual with a spinal cord injury . They live with their partner and a cat. They enjoy watching sports, especially football, and love socialising. Because they are active in the community every day, you can expect a varied environment where no two days are the same.
Must also be flexible to work short (4–5 days) live-in care hours on occasional periods throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Autonomic Dysreflexia management, Suprapubic catheter care, and Bowel care/management.
- Managing a risk of choking and operating a cough assist machine regularly due to a weak cough.
- 1:1 care assisting with daily personal care routines, including hoisting (must be physically fit to support safely and confidently).
- Assisting with general household tasks, preparing and serving all daily meals..
- Community Access: Accompanying the client to appointments, family commitments, and social engagements using the client's automatic mobility vehicle.
You’ll receive full theoretical and practical training to ensure you feel confident and well-prepared.
Key Requirements
- Driver Status: Must be a driver with a Full UK Driving Licence (capable of driving the client's automatic mobility car).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of professional UK care experience.
- Compliance: Right to work in the UK,
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one), and an up-to-date CV with full work history.
