On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Embedded C / C++ Software Engineer on a 6-month contract. As the Embedded C / C++ Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing the real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems. This is a technical hands-on role and will involve designing, implementing, and testing the embedded software for the missile products.
Role: Embedded C / C++ Software Engineer
Pay: Up to £65 per hour Umbrella, up to £48.38 per hour PAYE
Location: Bristol - onsite
Contract: Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: SC required.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to develop, test and integrate low level software drivers
- Generating and executing software test harness’s
- Good problem-solving capability to investigate software/hardware issues.
Skillset / experience required:
- Strong UML knowledge (ideally using Rhapsody)
- Strong C / C++ Programming
- Experience of working with the Texas Instrument (TI) TDA4 family of devices.
- Experience of working with Python
- Competent with MS word, for reviewing and updating technical documentation.
- Experience working on controlled Software environment.
- Experience working in a lab environment running embedded software
- Use of configuration control tools such as RTC
- Demonstrable experience of hard real time software development
