The company focuses on growing, sourcing, shipping, marketing, sales, and distributing fresh produce and supplying first-in-class produce-specific ERP software solutions, consultancy and management services on a global scale. We are looking for a Packaging Operative to join our busy warehouse.
Hours of Work:
06:00am to 14:00pm or 10:00am to 18:00
Working every other weekend (1 weekend ON 1 weekend OFF)
Purpose of the Role
To control the packaging throughout the Keeling’s Retail operation process: control of goods in, replenishment of the pack house, traceability and packaging warehouse management.
Main Responsibilities
Stock control
- Stock counted weekly over the weekend.
- The operator counts all packaging items and inputs stock figures into the internal system.
Packaging Goods In
- Checking if the consignments arrive in good condition.
- Checking the volume received against the delivery note and reports any discrepancies to the Packaging Manager.
- Complete Intake Forms.
- Put the packaging into the designated location.
Packaging Replenishment (store to production)
- Twice a day checking all the approved packaging locations in production.
- Complete a list of required packaging for production.
- Consolidate the consignment in the packaging store.
- Deliver goods on a forklift to production and place it securely onto the approved locations.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- FLT licence essential
- Experience in a similar role advantageous
- Forklift experience essential
- Attention to detail is key
- Good spoken English
- Good numeracy skills
- Heavy Lifting involved
