Floor Planner

Floor Planner (01/04/2020) Swords, Republic of Ireland

Job Description

The planner will schedule production lines, re assign raw material stock as required to customer orders as per commercial, customer and Technical requirements. All stock control alerts will be resolved and production orders on shift checked and issues resolved in a live production environment.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

Stock Re – Assigning / Requests

Re Assign raw material to forecasted / Actual orders daily in KBS II where required
Ensure all / enough raw material assigned to orders meets customer specification / requirements.
Assigning stock as per commercial and stock rules/instructions.
Plan best use of raw material for direct pick orders , production orders, quality rejections .
Releasing orders through to warehouse / production planning screens.
Checking Stock exceptions in KBS to ensure correct stock is assigned to orders for production / despatch
Checking same day arrivals for despatch and production and reassigning stock if required.
Working with commercial to ensure that current product knowledge is shared.
Re assigning stock to production orders if there are operational stock issues and new stock is required for picking / production.
Reallocation of raw material due to mis picks in warehouse.
Updating where forecast orders have changed to actual and amending where necessary.
Checking / resolving stock control alerts and transfers in designated zone/s
Production / Production Scheduling

Scheduling production lines / orders in line with customer orders / forecasted orders in line with Customer DOT and DSL as per Production Team.
Scheduling production to include Scheduled breaks, maintenance and production line cleaning
Reschedule forecasted orders if actual order is different
Monitoring production throughout the day to ensure production is on track to meet DOTs / DSL and working with operations if changes are required to the schedule.
Changing production orders in production to ensure Customer DOTS / DSL are met if production schedules are not met throughout the day.
Changing production orders on production lines as per production Team
Reassigning stock if same day arrivals do not arrive.
Raising potential capacity / DOT red flags to the planning supervisor.
Scheduling Quality rejections to the line if / when required.
All production orders checked while on shift to ensure all aspects of production are recorded correctly in a live production environment and fixed.
Production support for set ups / changes printers / KBS II as required
Ad hoc duties as and when required by supervisor.
Scanning

Responsible for the production scanning transactions in KBS in assigned area
Previous Experience / Education

Previous experience in production planning / stock assigning role within FMCG

Good working knowledge of Keeling’s current operational processes and systems is an advantage

Educated to degree level
