Safety & Compliance Officer (BBBH18433) Stansted, England

Salary: GBP350 - GBP350 per day

Line Up Aviation is recruiting for a Compliance and Safety Officer to support a busy aviation maintenance organisation ideally based at London Stansted Airport.


This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity, with review for extension, working within a regulated aircraft maintenance environment. The role will support compliance activity, safety reporting, investigations, documentation and internal process improvement.

Compliance and Safety Officer
Location: London Stansted Airport

Rate: £350 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Hours: Monday to Friday
Start: Immediate / negotiable


Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance approval applications, renewals and changes
  • Process personnel certification authorisations on behalf of the compliance and safety function
  • Monitor compliance findings and ensure responses are progressed and closed within agreed timescales
  • Review findings and causal factors to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement
  • Coordinate safety reports, including reports requiring external submission where applicable
  • Support and carry out safety investigations in line with internal procedures
  • Monitor corrective actions and control measures following safety events
  • Analyse safety events and report on trends or recurring issues
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of compliance and safety documentation
  • Promote compliance and safety awareness across the organisation
  • Provide analytical support for safety meetings and action groups where required
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the compliance and safety leadership team

Requirements


Essential:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, ideally within engineering, safety or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within aircraft maintenance, airline operations, aviation compliance or safety
  • Good knowledge of aviation maintenance standards and regulations, particularly EASA regulations
  • Understanding of Safety Management Systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office
  • Right to live and work in the UK


Desirable:

  • Experience within a Part-145 maintenance environment
  • Previous involvement in compliance auditing or safety investigations
  • Strong analytical, reporting and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator, able to work with internal teams and wider stakeholders
