Automation and Metallics Engineer

Automation and Metallics Engineer (BBBH13386) Broughton, Wales

Salary: GBP34 - GBP36.16 per hour


My client is looking for an Automation and Metallics Engineer to join on them on a contract until the end of June 2023. As an Automation and Metallics Engineer , your responsibilities will be the deployment and support of automated machinery for the assembly of aircraft wing structures and sub-assemblies and the assembly processes include drilling, fastening, cold-working and sealing. The scope of automated assembly machinery ranges from large Cartesian machines and industrial robots to lightweight solutions and collaborative robots (cobots)

Role: Automation and Metallics Engineer
Pay: £36.16 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Location: Broughton (3 days on site and 2 WFH)
Contract: Until the end of June 2023 – 35 hours per week Monday – Friday (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)

Job Profile
Core activities include:
? Defining new machinery
? Developing new automated assembly processes
? Project management
? Providing technical support to existing machinery
The scope of Metallics covers Surface Preparation, Treatment, Sealant and Paint from general lineside technical support to identification, qualification and replacement of products under REACH legislation and Environmental Sustainability.

Skills and Experiences
? Experience in the fields of automation and/or robotics.
? Knowledge of the production processes used in Broughton.
? Knowledge of REACH legislation.
? Knowledge of Environmental Sustainability
? Project Management.
? Proficient digital and data analysis skills.
? Experience with statistical or data analysis software tools e.g., Minitab, Skywise.
? Problem solving (including PPS).
? Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Education & Training
Essential – Strong experience in a similar role
Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering.
