Salary: GBP48 - GBP50 per hour


My client is looking for a Systems Engineering Data Architect to join on them on a 6 month contract. As a Systems Engineering Data Architect, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders on a key product based project to – analyse use cases, define, setup & test data processes and data exchanges (e.g. ICDs) between stakeholders and systems feed requirements for Java development within the standard Data Management Tool.

Pay: £50.00 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Location: Stevenage
Contract: 6 Months – 37 hours per week Monday – Friday
Security Clearance: Current / Transferable SC Clearance
Job Summary

Airbus Data Engineering supports stakeholders within Space Systems projects to manage data processes. The team analyses Stakeholder use cases, defines data processes, carries out the development of data engineering software products & facilitates the data processes on multiple projects.
Our processes & solutions, used at different stages of the Space System's life cycle (call for tenders, design, verification and validation) are at the heart of many business processes. As such, our division is a major player in the company's digitalization policy.

Job Profile
Technical knowledge of data exchange solutions between systems (e.g. schemas, xml) is required.
The candidate will be supporting the project Data Architect work area manager, whilst reporting to the Data Engineering Team Lead.
The candidate will be in direct 'day to day' contact with other project discipline architects
In the context of supporting use case, process & data exchange definition the candidate will work with stakeholders to assess needs.
The candidate shall be able to understand and analyse a complex System Engineering problem, in order to respond to it with the best solution.
The candidate will join an enthusiastic and dynamic team, focused on innovation, in a transnational context. The team employs SCRUM, Agile & Kanban ways of working.

Skills/Experience Required
Essential –
Strong experience in a similar role
Data exchange/interfaces knowledge (e.g. schemas, xml)
System Engineering experience (preferably in Aerospace)
Experience in Scrum/Agile & Kanban ways of working
Software/Data Engineering Educational background, degree level
Experience of Java

Desirable –
Experience of JIRA
Experience of Confluence

Education & Training
The candidate would ideally be educated to degree level in the field of software engineering or computer science
Experience working in an engineering industry, preferably aerospace, would be essential
