Supply Chain and Quality Manager

Supply Chain and Quality Manager (BBBH13318) Derby, England

Salary: GBP40 - GBP45.2 per hour


My client is looking for a Supply Chain and Quality Manager to join on them on a 12 month contract. As a Supply Chain and Quality Manager, you will be responsible for
• On-time / on-quality delivery of propulsion systems (engines and nacelles) to Wide Body Final Assembly Line (A350, A330)
• Suppliers surveillance and compliance
• Suppliers development
• Supply chain risk management

Role: Supply Chain and Quality Manager
Pay: £45.20 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Location: Derby – fully onsite
Contract: 12 Months – 35 hours per week Monday – Friday (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)
Security Clearance: BPSS to start plus SC Clearance

Job Profile
The implementation of accountabilities above requires permanent on-site presence in Derby, UK.
On-Site Supply Chain and Quality Managers act as representatives of Airbus in front of the supplier (Rolls-Royce) and are accountable for the following activities Supply Chain Management
• Suppliers’ performance monitoring
• Load and capacity analysis
• Rate readiness analysis • Supply chain intelligence management
• Transfer of work management
• Design change industrialisation management Quality Management
• Correction: non-conformity eradication
• Prevention: implementation and management of quality improvement plan
• Supplier Development / Audit and Assessment Risk Management
• Identification
• Execution
• Governance A large part of this role is managing key stakeholders within the business, it is essential that candidates can communicate at this level and have the ability to have difficult conversations with key stakeholders
Someone who holds experience within a supply chain/ quality environment, ideally from an aerospace background
Quality is an important part of this role, so the focus on the candidate’s skillset would need to be in this area
Someone who holds excellent communication skills and can manage any challenges/ issues with key stakeholders
Shop floor/ manufacturing experience would be desirable

• Industrial background and culture within aerospace industry
• Data analysis and synthetic reporting
• Practical problem solving
• Auditor qualification would be desirable
