Salary: GBP30000 - GBP33500 per annum + Pension, Overtime + Company Incentives

Mechanical Machine Operator/Technician - Mechancial Understandings Required 

 

DEVELOPING MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Commutable from Norwich, Lowestoft, Ipswich and Great Yarmouth  

3 Shift Pattern or Reduced 12 Hour Shift Pattern Available

 

£29,000 rising to £33,500 upon completion of training – Potential to achieve the highest grade immediately (Based on Skillset).

Role Description

  • Ensure a QC check is completed on machines or at your supervisor’s request.
  • Ensure at every QC check that all visual & functional checks are carried out carefully
  • Ensure all production checks & documentation are completed properly.
  • Always inform your supervisor when the product is not to specification and discuss and carry out appropriate corrective / remedial action.
  • Report to your Supervisor when any machines are stopped for any reason other than tool changes. Report all machine faults if they cannot be cured or are affecting production.
  • Ensure that tool changes, colour changes etc., are carried out
  • Ensure the machines are running correctly and safely at all times
  • All check/log sheets and pallet labels should be filled out clearly and correctly with all relevant information.
  • Ensure machine is clear from previous top/tail waste before commencing new production run.
  • Ensure that your work area is kept safe, clean, and tidy during and at the end of the shift
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures, particularly but not exclusively in regard to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment Management
  • The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering Technical Qualification or Motor Vehicle/Maintenance Qualification – Desired
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a reactive environment to ensure deadlines are met and monitor outcomes.
  • Proven experience in a fast paced role.
  • Experience in a fast moving production environment.
