Days – Monday to Friday (Potential WFH Day Available)

Our client is a leading manufacturer, supplying into various types of sectors. They are looking for an experienced Design Engineer that has covered a wide range of developments regarding connectors, enclosures, automated machinery and further. In all, this could be a highly wide-ranging position for the successful candidate.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Delivery of Sustaining Engineering and NPD projects
- Creation and checking of CAD models and technical drawings
- Performing pertinent actions in SAP (Raising ECs, BOM creation etc)
- Owning all stages of allocated projects from conception through testing, verification and launch
- Development of products, taking into account all aspects of user experience, technical specification and production implications.
- Providing innovative solutions to engineering problems
- Work with Brand Management to develop project specification
- Actively involved in VOC of customers and markets
- Maintain reporting of project statuses and actively partake in meetings and discussions
- Take an active part in driving innovation and implementation of new technology in the products and the business
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Track record of delivering engineering projects in a high performance environment
- Strong communicator who is capable of building relationships with key decision makers
- Performance driven, focused on delivering excellent results in a timely fashion and to budget
- Analytical mindset, able to evaluate results and form conclusions in a methodical fashion
- Works well as a problem solver in group situations
- Experienced in the use of parametric CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
- Knowledge of industry design/drawing standards
- Exposure to designing for compliance with standards
- Previous MRP system exposure (particularly SAP) preferred but not essential
- Demonstrable design to value capability
