Our client is a leading manufacturer, supplying into various types of sectors. They are looking for an experienced Design Engineer that has covered a wide range of developments regarding connectors, enclosures, automated machinery and further. In all, this could be a highly wide-ranging position for the successful candidate.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Delivery of Sustaining Engineering and NPD projects
  • Creation and checking of CAD models and technical drawings
  • Performing pertinent actions in SAP (Raising ECs, BOM creation etc)
  • Owning all stages of allocated projects from conception through testing, verification and launch
  • Development of products, taking into account all aspects of user experience, technical specification and production implications.
  • Providing innovative solutions to engineering problems
  • Work with Brand Management to develop project specification
  • Actively involved in VOC of customers and markets
  • Maintain reporting of project statuses and actively partake in meetings and discussions
  • Take an active part in driving innovation and implementation of new technology in the products and the business

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • Track record of delivering engineering projects in a high performance environment
  • Strong communicator who is capable of building relationships with key decision makers
  • Performance driven, focused on delivering excellent results in a timely fashion and to budget
  • Analytical mindset, able to evaluate results and form conclusions in a methodical fashion
  • Works well as a problem solver in group situations
  • Experienced in the use of parametric CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
  • Knowledge of industry design/drawing standards
  • Exposure to designing for compliance with standards
  • Previous MRP system exposure (particularly SAP) preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrable design to value capability
