Randstad is partnering on an exclusive basis with a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed UK safety and compliance consultancy to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor.

Location: North West England  

Following strategic capital investment from the Business Growth Fund (BGF), our client is executing a high-impact national expansion plan, transforming regional offices into multidisciplinary compliance hubs. Their Water Hygiene division is scaling at pace, backed by an elite technical leadership team—including former compliance leads for major national institutions—giving you direct daily access to decades of industry-leading technical knowledge and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments across commercial, healthcare, educational, and public sector client estates in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
• Produce accurate technical risk reports, schematics, and asset registers using handheld electronic software.
• Perform water sampling (Legionella, TVCs, E. coli), system temperature monitoring, TMV servicing, and cold water storage tank clean/disinfections.
• Liaise directly with client duty holders to explain findings and recommend practical risk mitigation schemes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor within a UK water hygiene or compliance consultancy.
• Solid working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 (Parts 1, 2 & 3), and Water Regulations 1999.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
