B2022 is looking for an experienced Catering Operations professional, to work closely with the Planning and Delivery Manager for Villages and be responsible for the project planning and operations management of the Village Catering service contracts to the key client groups for one of the Village locations.
The Villages are the home from home for the 6,500 Athletes and Team Officials for the duration of the Games. There are three confirmed Village locations that will service the daily needs of this critical Client group.
Responsibilities
- Develop the defined operational strategies and plans per venue location. Consult with OC venue managers, existing facility owners and other related parties regarding the physical needs and requirements necessary to coordinate and manage the development of the CCW FA services.
- Management of all timelines and responsibilities in the relationship between the Organising Committee (OC) and the CCW contracted service providers from award to completion of the contract.
- Development of forecasting for food service requirements across all client groups.
- Work with contracted service providers to develop consistent menu offers, special dietary and nutritional information that will satisfy the needs of a diverse athlete group.
- Work with contracted service partners to design efficient, cost effective and ergonomic kitchen infrastructure.
- Liaise with the Logistics Functional Area and contracted service providers on equipment material lists and master delivery supply plans.
- Manage, mentor and motivate the CCW FA Village teams consisting of staff, volunteers and contractors (staffing requirements, training and scheduling). Support in the recruitment, development, support, scheduling and retention of the CCW FA workforce including Volunteers according to the B2022 Workforce strategy and associated policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced, multi-tiered, project-based environment with set timelines
- Knowledge of tender processes and expertise in procurement of catering services for large venue operations
- Experience in a leadership/ management role in a Catering or related area
- L3 Minimum Food Hygiene
Desirable
- Can demonstrate experience in designing ‘field’ kitchens to satisfy large volume.
- Previously in a senior kitchen role such as Head or Exec chef where menu planning, allergen management and building nutritional information were evident.
- Extensive knowledge of Catering industries
