We are looking for a flexible and driven Senior Consultant to join our successful consultancy team, handling a portfolio of global contracts and opportunities. The role is suitable for an ex-Air Traffic Controller in possession of an Aerodrome and/or Approach Radar rating with recent operational experience within a busy environment.  The opportunity would be ideal for someone who is passionate about developing their own skills and moving their career into the consultancy and commercial aspect of Air Traffic Management.

Based in New Delhi, India, this is an exciting time to join the team as you will ensure our solutions and resources are evolved by engaging customers and developing models to meet rapidly evolving client requirements in this fast growing market – IATA forecast that India will overtake the UK as the world’s third largest market by 2024.

You will build key relationships and support stakeholders to ensure we are best placed to successfully deliver services to important NATS customers; to provide an effective interface between the local customers and the NATS experts; and to gain a deep understanding of how NATS can valuably support our customers’ needs .

Reporting to the Principal Consultant, you will take project Delivery and Solutions’ ownership, and be assigned to support delivery of existing contracts and development of new projects.

You will be responsible for:
 

  • Leading a portfolio of contracts (delivery projects) and opportunity solutions (bids) by being the Delivery and Solution Lead within a typical Delivery/Bid team and by developing and mentoring a team of SMEs throughout the delivery lifecycle; delivering to time, cost, quality
  • Directing and mentoring a team of consultants, colleagues, partners and sub-contractors whilst liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Ensuring our solutions are developed by engaging customers and developing resourcing models, both from internal and external sources, which meet the client’s requirements and Commercial business plan targets
  • Proactively establishing key stakeholder relationships to ensure that NATS is able to understand market requirements, determine how NATS can valuably support these, and to support the account leads to grow a profitable commercial business for NATS
  • Ensuring relevant parties are kept informed of critical risks or variances that may impact financial positions or affect the relationship with the Customers.

Qualifications & Skills:
 

  • Possess an Aerodrome and/or Approach Rating with significant recent operational experience in a complex International ATC environment
  • Validated understanding of ATC operations and ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including ATC, Airside Operations and Airlines
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to engage with and motivate multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external to NATS, in order to meet the demands of the revenue targets
  • Ability to understand complex overseas markets, complex organisations and their individual cultural differences
  • Understanding of commercial contract management with a proven understanding of the commercial aspects for delivery of fixed price contracts
  • Experience of ATC operations in a HIRO (High Intensity Runway Operations) environment would be a bonus.
