About the role:

The Student Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative support within WSUIC across a broad range of student services. The position acknowledges the interdependence of student and academic related matters, the importance of front facing support and back-office administration. The designation of activities may change over time. 
 
The person we seek will ideally have experience with the following:  

 Essential: 

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deal with competing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading and editing skills
• Demonstrated ability to relate well to students and stakeholders.
• Provide high quality reception and student administration.
• Experience in organising student engagement activities (e.g. events and excursions).
• Ability to independently resolve routine problems and issues
• Sense of responsibility and commitment to education
• Demonstrated computer literacy in standard operating systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable: 

• Degree or equivalent (preferred)
• Work experience in higher education sector, preferably in a commercial setting
