One of our top Clients in the O&G Industry is looking for a WELDING & COATING ENGINEER with the following details:

 Mobilization Date: 15 March 2023

Location: Qatar

 Duration: 12 months - with possible extension depending on the project duration

WELDING & COATING ENGINEER Activities: 

• To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, to respect the Project HSSE requirements and to ensure implementation of HSSE rules.
• To ensure that HSSEQ issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the disciplines-related technical documents and construction activities.
• To ensure that safe working practices are used within the Team along all phases of project.
• To be informed of Project Specifications and international norms and standards related to corrosion, welding & NDT, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project.
• To issue and maintain all the necessary technical documentation related to corrosion, welding & NDT.
• To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Engineering and Procurement Leader (progress, concerns), and, as a general manner, anticipates problems, potential optimizations or improvements and offers solutions with regards to his/her disciplines.
• To contribute to project reviews as requested by Company requirements (HAZOP, HAZID,SPOT, ODR, PTR...) and prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits for his/her disciplines.
• To liaise and interface actively with other project stake holders and specialist from Head Quarters with regard to the welding & NDT related matters and on all engineering, procurement, constructability, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work. 

Qualifications / Experience required: 

• Level/ Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
• The job will require minimum 10 years experience in supervision of Welding & NDT activities for Oil & Gas projects,
• including significant experience with Corrosion Resistant Alloys products.
• Good motivational skills.
• Sound organization ability and respect for planning and budgets.
• Good knowledge of the relevant environment, open to new concepts and methods of construction.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid BOSIET certificate (Opito).
