Junior Payroll Officer

Junior Payroll Officer  Sydney CBD, Sydney, Australia

About the role

In consultation with the Payroll Manager and Payroll Team Leader the position will :

  • Maintain and update knowledge of ICHRIS
  • Liaise with HR and other Business Units to ensure timely and accurate fortnightly and monthly payroll processing
  • Provide end-of-period or ad-hoc reports and analyses
  • Assist the Payroll Team Leader in ensuring that the centralised payroll function complies with all relevant quality and IR standards
  • Perform audits and reconciliations of employee data
  • Involvement in a range of tasks to support the effective management of Superannuation

The person we seek will ideally have the following:

  • Ability to demonstrate good attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach to work in a team environment
  • Some skills gained from working in a payroll function
  • Able to manage work to meet agreed deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills that support service orientated approach
  • Willingness to learn and desire for professional growth
  • Demonstrated commitment to privacy and confidentiality
