Job purpose
We are Inviting applications for the role of Wickman-Hydromat Setter.
Applicants will ideally have experience on Wickman Multi Auto machines or similar multi spindle autos. Experience of pneumatic pick ups, thread milling, recess, threading and trepanning attachments preferred. Also cross slide tooling including shave tools, and cucchi bar loaders advantageous.
Also preferred hydromat/rotary transfer machine experience
The role involves using High volume rotary transfer machines with external/internal threading, valenite form setting, slitting blade units and recess turning.
Producing components with tight tolerances and critical features at low cycle times.
These machines have numerous quality inspection checks as part of the process including SPC, Tessa and contracer checks. . Any prospective candidate should be able to work across all shift patterns e.g. Nights and Double Days.

What we’re looking for
You will have a proven track record of working within Engineering.
A full understanding of the workings of Wickman and Hydromat machinery would be an advantage.
You will be proactive, flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Good aptitude for learning.
