Based in Sydney’s CBD, our client is an ASX listed Telco organisation experiencing hyper growth over the past 12 months.  Due to operational changes and aggressive growth they have a new opportunity for a senior finance leader to join the business. Working as the 2iC to the CFO, this role will be an all-encompassing financial leadership role supporting the ELT with financial leadership and strategy.

Outside of BAU, you will also provide commercial support to M&A activity (acquisitions assessment and analysis, due diligence, integrations of new businesses and asset). You will also have full autonomy to initiate and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the Finance function, especially those viewed through the eyes of a customer. So, if you come from a Big 4 / Mid-Tier background, you’ll be no stranger to establishing policies and governance frameworks, driving continuous improvement initiatives through process efficiencies and optimisation, improving controls for best practices and efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have the following :

• CA / CPA qualified finance professional with considerable financial management experience within ASX environments
• 10+ years’ experience within corporate finance within leadership and management
• Strong technical accounting (ASX Reporting, IFRS, US GAAP and SOX)
• Curious mind, asking ''How and Why'' to drive operational efficiencies 
• Ability to quickly understand the business and not just the numbers - Telling a story behind the numbers
• Excellent business partnering skills, engaging with ability to educate and influence
• Proven track recording of implementing robust internal controls frameworks and reengineering business processes ensure best practice
• Exceptional leadership qualities and a history of inspiring, developing and building high performing finance function
