Main purpose of the job

 

To implement and co-ordinate business unit objectives to meet the needs of the Business Plan, Instilling a first-class manufacturing culture within the team. Manage the 3 Shift pattern of the production line to confirm quality and outputs of the production line are maintained.

 

Overview of duties and responsibilities 

 

Preparation and control of annual operational budgets to achieve targets set.

Control of operational performance, ensuring profit targets are maximised and set budgets are adhered to. 

Build effective relationships with customers through close communication to ensure that information is passed in both directions 

To chair Operational Meetings and produce KPI communications to inform the board. 

To identify operational capacity to ensure bottlenecks are avoided and maximised to support new and extra potential sales uplift  

Ensure headcount is in place to support and deliver business objectives across the site and that manning data is accurate and maintained. 

Ensure all team members fully understand their duties and responsibilities and are tasked to achieve their goals and objectives.

Carry out annual Performance and Development Appraisals and ensure training & development needs are identified and addressed.

To maintain close communication with customers ensuring that information is passed in both directions in a timely manner.

To implement and maintain a proud culture that drives the importance of accuracy and continuous improvement throughout the business.

Line Supervisor Stand-in

 

Key Requirements: 

 

 

Qualified to degree level in engineering ( 5 years + experience)

Knowledge and experience of fast paced automated manufacturing environments

Strong people management experience, with evidence of developing skills and organisational culture. 

Knowledge of P&L management 

Able to define, implement and measure KPIs

Passion and interest in the automotive industry and new technologies.

Strong problem-solving skills 

Customer facing with strong relationship building skills.
