Role Title:

Materials Engineer

Reporting To:

Research & Development Manager

Role Purpose:

To assist in the development of new materials

Key Responsibilities

·         Material development

·         Testing and evaluation of new materials

·         Conducting customer visits

·         Report writing

·         Conducting investigations

·         Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned in line with business needs.

·         Project management

·         Liaise with sub-contractors

·         Liaise with LVC, Sales, Production

Role Related Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Personal Attributes

Qualifications or Functional Experience

·      Degree in metallurgy or related subject

·      At least 2 years post graduate industry experience

·      Experience in powder metallurgy is desirable

·      Experience in automotive industry is desirable

System or Knowledge

·      Computer literate, MS Office

Personal Attributes

·         Able to work in a small team, communication skills, methodical

·         Work on own initiative
