Part of a successful international organisation, this high-tech manufacturer has developed an enviable reputation for product quality and innovation. They are currently undertaking their next phase of recruitment and therefore require an experienced VA/VE Engineer to join their expanding business.

This is a varied role and your responsibilities will include:

o Working in a small, versatile team, you will be involved in Value Add & Value Engineering activities on a range of RFID based products.
o You will support work on a variety of products at different stages of the product's lifecycle and work with Supply chain Parts – cost / sourcing finding lower costs / source-able parts - with associated electrical and environmental testing.
o BOM Scrubbing of new, re-spin, legacy products and proposing any mechanical / Electrical simplification / changes.

You will also work closely with internal Manufacturing and Subcontract Manufacturers, undertaking analysis and investigations into making processes simpler / more cost effective - with associated testing. You will also analyse yield issues and help implement improvements to production.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

o Ideally Degree level Electronics
o A background in Electronics - Design / Development or Test / Validation.
o Good working knowledge of Electronics – Power Supplies, communication protocols etc
o VA/VE - source and cost down of parts through the supply chain
