An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project / Manufacturing Engineer to join this global automotive component supplier who are synonymous with quality and have a reputation for product excellence. The business is well established and has a very strong order book, they are also investing a further £30m in the plant over the next few years.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Focus on the reduction of non value added activities whilst working towards the maintenance of the site KPI's
• Regular participation in improvement activities, as part of a multi disciplined team, on existing facilities and equipment
• Responsibility for the installation of identified improvement actions and customer driven product changes while minimising the effect on Facility output
• Creation and control of prototype parts, Tooling and equipment feasibility analysis and buy off activities
• Lead or assist in the introduction of new products tooling and manufacturing facilities in line with SQCD targets
• Support all manufacturing lines to achieve safety, quality, cost and delivery targets
• Design, Manufacture and commission facility, fixture and tooling improvements or new concept
• Support TPM and multi skilled maintenance activities relating to tooling and fixtures
• Carry out productivity improvement studies and kaizen activities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• A good working knowledge of metal forming, fabrication and assembly processes
• A solid background in Manufacturing and Project improvement activities, CAD experience is highly beneficial
• HNC / Degree in a Mechanical or Production Engineering discipline
