Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer

Location: Oxford

Rate: £165 p/day

We are looking for a skilled Data Cabling Engineer to join a team for an installation and termination project of Cat6 copper cabling in a care home in Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the installation is completed to a high standard while adhering to safety regulations and timelines.

Description of contract/programme of works:

• Installation and termination of Cat6 copper cables within the care home premises.
• Ensure all cabling is correctly installed and terminated with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Work alongside other contractors and the client to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
• Conduct cable testing to ensure functionality and system integrity.

Experience required:

• Previous experience as a Data Cabling Engineer, specifically in Cat6 copper installations.
• Ability to work in care home environments, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.
• Strong technical skills in data cabling installations and terminations.

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

• ECS/CSCS card essential.
• IPAF certification is beneficial.
• Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness (AA) certifications are beneficial but not required.
• Standard hand tools for cable installation and termination.
• Termination tools.
• SDS/Impact Drill for drilling purposes.
