Manufacturing Manager

Manufacturing Manager (32564) Stroud, England

Salary: GBP60000 - GBP80000 per annum + + benefits

A Manufacturing Manager is required to oversee the production of electro-mechanical devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, ensuring that all machines are manufactured to the highest quality standards, utilising production data to assist the overall efficiency to improve the OEE performance.

The responsibilities of Manufacturing Manager include the following:

  • Develop and implement production plans that ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage production schedules to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage and train production staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs as appropriate.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Collaborate with supply chain & logistics department to ensure timely delivery of machines to customers.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall business performance.
  • Identify new systems and software tools to help run the department efficiently.

The suitable candidate for Manufacturing Manager will need to possess the following qualifications and/or experience:

  • Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in managing a production team and delivering results.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and other manufacturing software tools.
