Job briefing – Precinct Project Engineer (Electrical)
Vinova are working with a leading renewable energy business to hire a Precinct Project Engineer with a strong electrical background. This role will be joining the delivery team as a Project Engineer working across their various plants in Sydney.
The opportunity
This position will see you join the precint delivery team as a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting several precincts including different sustainable utility services including thermal heating and cooling, recycled water, EV charging, electricity etc.
About the role
You will report into a Operations Manager and work closely with the delivery team. The focus will be on coordinating electrical scope across multiple assets within a precinct environment, ensuring project delivery, maintenance, and general scope of projects is progressing.
You will engage with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders across design, scoping work, and ensuring smooth operations across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver electrical scope across precinct-scale renewable energy projects
- Manage contractors and suppliers across design, install and commissioning phases
- Review design work and ensure its fit for purpose
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and technical standards across site activities
- Drive coordination across electrical, civil and mechanical packages
Required experience
- Electrical engineering background with strong mechanical understanding
- Experience working across multiple plants, as a project engineer
- Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self starter with a great attitude
