HR Manager

HR Manager (32363) Coventry, England

Salary: GBP45000 - GBP50000 per annum + Dependant on experience

An HR Manager (Generalist) with experience of leading HR functions and driving compliance with regards to personnel management and corporate policies is required for an established manufacturing company with circa 100 staff based in Coventry.

The position will allow for full time or 3/4 days per week depending on experience. 

Salary circa £45K - £50K full time or part time (pro-rata)

Location: Coventry

The position of HR Manager will include:

  • Be the site expert with regards to all employment matters, including grievances & disciplinary.
  • Set up and ensure annual appraisal are conducted by line managers in accordance with the framework.
  • Implement a learning and development programme to drive internal performance, retention and profitability.
  • Strive to engender a productive and happy working environment.
  • Set up HR systems to improve personnel management such as holidays and absenteeism.
  • Work with recruitment agencies and deal with direct contractors including paperwork and compliance, considering IR35 conditions.   
  • Manage time and attendance, and ensure all matters are dealt with professionally, fairly and consistently.

The suitable candidate for HR Manager will need to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Existing HR Manager, Assistant HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor or equivalent.
  • Good/high level of experience with Employment Law.
  • CIPD qualified - Highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
