Position: Controls Engineer

Location: Birmingham (Contract role)

Salary: £35 - £50 per hour

A contract Controls Engineer with experience of leading a small team of plc programming and machine commissioning is required for a Birmingham based systems integrator.

The role of Senior/Lead Controls Engineer will include the following:

• Working on machine sequencing.
• Working on live machines to commission various sequences
• Using pre written function blocks.
• Commission machines, ensuring the sequenced as per the functional specification.
• Programming PLC’s such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron or B&R. (Experience with all of these is not essential, others will also be considered.

The suitable candidate for Controls Engineer will need to possess the following skills and experience:

• Experienced Control/Software Engineer who has worked on complex machine sequencing.
• Experienced with motion control and pneumatics and Robotics ideally.
