Overview

 A reputable Hong Kong Listed Luxury Retail Corporation is seeking for a Senior Manager Internal Audit to join as the functional lead for the Internal Audit & Risk Management department. The role provides strategic oversight across complex operations, delivers actionable insights, and contributes to organisational resilience through continuous risk assessment and improvement initiatives. 

Responsibilities

  • Shape and drive annual oversight and assurance priorities by evaluating enterprise‑level risks, operational complexity, and strategic impact.
  • Lead and oversee multiple review engagements with full accountability for scope definition, execution quality, stakeholder management, and delivery of high‑impact recommendations.
  • Provide senior‑level assessment of governance structures, control environments, operating models, and technology‑enabled processes, identifying systemic gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Set direction on the review and enhancement of internal policies, procedures, and operating frameworks to strengthen consistency, effectiveness, and alignment with best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and enabling function leaders, maintaining continuous risk awareness and influencing risk mitigation actions.
  • Sponsor and contribute to enterprise‑wide initiatives and special assignments, offering independent perspectives on risk, controls, and operational effectiveness.
  • Coach, guide, and review the work of team members, ensuring quality, professional development, and alignment with overall objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant business discipline.
  • Extensive experience in assurance, audit, or risk leadership roles within large, complex, or multi‑layered organisations.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the ability to assess complex environments and articulate clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent engagements and influencing senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting to management and leadership forums.
  • Strong written reporting capabilities in both English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is required.
  • Exposure to regional or cross‑border operations is an advantage, with flexibility to travel as business needs require (20%).
