Summit Recruitment is proud to be partnering with this highly respected Civil Contactor specialising in Water Assets, Sewerage & Stormwater, in search of a motivated WHS Business Partner to grow within this rapidly expanding business.
The primary function of this role will be to implement WHS/HSEQ best practise and drive an on-site culture change around improvements to safety processes by building relationships with the staff and assisting through these changes.
Duties:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSEQ systems, processes & strategies
- Coach, support and train employees on all safety related matters
- Promote a culture of safety awareness, incident reporting and continuous improvement
- Lead toolbox talks
- Facilitate on-boarding of new employees around safety
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation records
- Co-ordinate risk assessments, inspections, audits and safety observations
- Manage injuries and RTW in partnership with the Safety Officer
To be successful:
- Diploma or Degree qualified in WHS
- Cert IV in Training
- Working knowledge of WHS, Chain of Responsibility, Environmental Compliance & IMS
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis & serious incident investigations
Most importantly, you will have the ability to work with staff on the field and gain their trust to implement and follow safety processes and culture.
