As an Assistant Practitioner, you'll join the team at The Bridge Hospital working 37.5 hours per week (12.5 hour shifts), where you will change lives for the better.

What you will be doing

As an Assistant Practitioner, you will ensure people with neurological conditions receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promote good teamwork.

Things that you will have:

• Associate Practitioner Qualification or equivalent
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices
• Significant experience of working in a relevant health or social care setting
• Tracheostomy’s cuffed and uncuffed
• Mechanical ventilation,
• Spinal Injury’s including Bowel care and Autonomic dysreflexia
• PEG feeding and care of a PEG tube
• Administering of Medication
• Continence care
• Stoma management
• Knowledge of Neurological Rehabilitation and brain injury
• Willing to undertake further advanced training such as ILS and respiratory management

The shift patterns include working nights and weekends, 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week.

Where you will be working

Location: Lower East Street, Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, TS2 1SW

You will be working at The Bridge, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will provide care and support for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

As a care centre, this service is a home from home offering en-suite accommodation and spacious communal areas with dedicated therapy spaces, where truly person-centred care is delivered and where each individual is at the heart of everything.
