Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

3 Shift: 37.5 hours/Week    6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/6am

Commutable from – Newbury, Woolhampton, Reading, Theale, Mortimer, Hungerford, Didcot

£50,000 + Overtime paid up to 2x normal rate

Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a larger national group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to a recent investment, they are looking to bring onboard additional electrical maintenance engineers into their team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Electrical & mechanical maintenance, PPM’s, and repairs
• Working on a variety of high-speed production & packaging machinery, conveyors, automation & controls and plant machinery
• Dealing with PLCs, AC invertors, Servo Drive systems, DC drives,
• Work to PM schedule, monitor machine performance (OEE), downtime and analysis for performance improvement
• Coach and support operators to develop their skills
• Utilise software (Maximo) to record reactive and preventative maintenance 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

• Must be an electrically biased maintenance engineer or electrical engineer
• Have worked in a fast paced engineering environment
• Be comfortable with working on mechanical or electrical problems / faults
• Ideally have some mechanical experience
• Have a HND qualification.18^th Edition would be desirable
• Strong team player with a positive, hardworking, willingness to learn attitude
