Indirect Taxes Manager – UK & Europe

A really exciting opportunity to join a global lifestyle brand as an Indirect Tax Manager on an interim basis. The role will cover compliance and some special projects and is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experiences within Indirect Tax compliance and work with a fantastic team.

The role:

• VAT compliance for the UK and Europe – VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and Intrastat
• Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner
• Manager SAO certification process
• Provide and maintain VAT awareness and knowledge across the business – training and liaising with other business units across the business
• Prepare and manage VAT governance framework
• Act as lead VAT contact for any VAT queries that might arise
• Provide input for governance and risk management processes
• Work as a trusted business partner with the wider business
• Work with the wider tax team on a range of special projects
• Keep up to date with legislation changes, new taxes and help shape the business’ response to these changes
• Manage two team members who pull data and compile the returns

About you:

• Experience of VAT compliance across other European jurisdictions
• Experience dealing with tax authorities
• Knowledge of retail industry a plus
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
• Language skills desirable – German, French or any other European language
• Previous skills managing others would be good to have
• Project management skills
• Independent, robust, flexible and adaptable

4 months FTC possibly to permanent. £70,000. London. Hybrid working.
