Are you an experienced estimating leader looking to make your mark on a 'once in a generation' major infrastructure project? I am currently partnering with a leading international infrastructure group who are leading the transformation of our industry to meet the challenges of the future to secure a highly capable Managing Estimator. We are seeking a proven professional to guide a newly formed team and help deliver a monumental project that will provide clean energy to 6 million homes.

Package:

• Rate: £900- £950 per day (Umbrella, inside IR35).

• Contract Duration: ASAP to 31/05/2027, with the potential for further extensions.

• Working Hours: 42 hours per week, structured as 8.5-hour days.

• Location: Hybrid working with 3 days per week required in either the London (Waterloo/Becket House) or Ipswich office. You must ensure office cover between 10am and 5pm on your in-office days.

The Role:

• You will manage a multi-skill level estimating team of around 10 people, ranging from estimators to senior estimators.

• Your core focus will be developing cost planning and pricing for the Alliance Services and Plant & Logistics section of the project.

• You will report directly to the CWA Head of Estimating to ensure a consistent estimating approach.

• The role involves presenting, negotiating, and justifying prices in an open and honest manner to senior leaders and partners.

• You will oversee the development of pricing from first principles within the Alliance’s estimating software, Candy.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Main Contractor experience within infrastructure, ideally within the civil engineering sector
• Strong estimating background with experience using Candy Estimating Software
• Experience using RIB CostX for quantification and estimating
• Experience working with AACE Estimating Class principles and the associated levels of estimate maturity
