HGV Class 2 HIAB crane driver (JN -022026-64328) Loughborough, England

Salary: GBP35000 - GBP35000 per annum + Free onsite parking

We are currently looking for an HGV Class 2 HIAB crane driver to work on a permanent and full-time basis for our client based in north-east Loughborough.

 

Permanent | Immediate start | Salary £35K PA | Monday to Friday (no weekends)

 

Working hours: 7:30am – 5pm with an early finish on Fridays

 

HGV Class 2 HIAB crane driver, must hold a current crane licence

About the role:

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to multiple destinations within your designated delivery route using a crane vehicle.

 

·       Safely operate and maintain a class 2 HGV vehicle in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.

·       Conduct routine pre and post trip vehicle inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.

·       Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, considering delivery schedules and customer locations.

·       Load and unload goods onto the vehicle with care to prevent damage.

·       Complete all deliveries accurately and on time, obtaining proof of delivery as necessary.

·       Provide excellent customer service by being polite, professional and responsive to customer needs and inquiries.

·       Communicate with customers and address any delivery issues or delays promptly and professionally.

·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries with relevant paperwork.

·       Report any discrepancies or issues to the Transport Planner and/or Manager.

·       Adhere to all traffic laws, EU regulations and safety standards while operating the vehicle.

·       Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth loading and unloading of goods.

 

About you:

 

·       Valid class 2 HGV driving licence  

·       DCPC qualification

·       Experience with valid digital tachograph

·       Previous experience as an HGV driver, multi-drop experience is desirable
