Workshop Engineer - Hydraulic (BBBH43889) Burton-On-Trent, England

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP35000 per annum


We are currently recruiting for an Hydraulic Engineer for our client who are based in Burton on Trent on a full time and permanent basis.

Hours: 8am to 4:30pm - Monday to Friday - 30 minute unpaid break (in addition to these hours, you will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required).
Location: Burton Upon Trent
Salary: Circa £30-35K

Responsibilities
·       Routine maintenance and installation of hydraulic equipment & systems.
·       Servicing and breakdown repairs of hydraulic equipment, manufacture of new systems and machines along with cylinder refurbishments.
·       General engineering, maintenance, and installation of hydraulic systems
·       Onsite servicing works covering all aspects of hydraulic engineering
·       Customer liaison when on site to ensure customer needs are met to the highest standard and to follow up on further works
·       Take charge of own work and manage accordingly to ensure jobs are carried out in a timely fashion
·       Ensure that the workshop and vans are kept in order regarding tidying and stock levels
·       Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrade systems.
·       To advise customers in the routine maintenance if applicable of the equipment where required.
·       From time to time, provide more detailed service/technical job reports on specific product or customer issues.
·       To support the engineering supervisor with stock levels in the vehicles and the workshop / hose department
·       To ensure that all work and parts are properly recorded and service reports are completed and forwarded to relevant managers in a timely manner.
·       Occasional travel to customer and clients sites.

About you
·       Recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Hydraulic discipline.
·       Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
·       Good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written
·       Experience in teamwork 
·       Good knowledge of basic H&S regarding working with heavy machinery and Hydraulics
·       Knowledge of hydraulic systems, technical abilities to read & interpret drawings
