We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Forklift Engineer on a full time and permanent basis for our client based in Loughborough.

Job Title: Workshop Engineer
Location: Loughborough
Salary: £28,000 to £33,000 per annum DOE
Hours of work: 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday

As a Workshop Forklift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Preparing and refurbishing equipment to a high standard
• Working on a variety of forklift and material handling equipment
• Completing accurate job reports and workshop paperwork
• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections
• Ensuring machines are maintained and prepared to a high standard before returning to customers
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
• Working closely with colleagues, suppliers, and customers when required
• Following all Health & Safety requirements and company procedures

About You

• Previous experience maintaining or repairing forklift trucks, plant, agricultural, automotive, or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems
• A practical, hands-on approach
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• A flexible and helpful attitude
