We are currently seeking an experienced Retail Buyer with a proven track record in the UK market to join our clients dynamic team. As a Retail Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product assortment, driving sales, and ensuring our customers receive a compelling and trend-forward retail experience.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your extensive buying experience in the UK market to curate a diverse and appealing product range.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, secure the best prices, and maintain strong relationships.
- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic merchandising plans.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end buying process, from product selection to inventory management and replenishment.
- Drive initiatives to maximize sales, optimize profit margins, and achieve stock and sales targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Retail Buyer in the UK market.
- In-depth knowledge of the retail industry, market trends, and customer preferences.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven and commercially focused, with a keen understanding of the retail landscape.
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems used in the buying process.
