Recently Generation Life announced plans to build a new product – a market-linked lifetime annuity. There is $566 billion in post-retirement assets in the Australian superannuation industry andonly 1% of which is invested in lifetime annuities. There is a huge opportunity for a new, differentiated solution in the lifetime annuity space.
The Opportunity
We are searching for a high calibre individual who has been involved in the development of a new product and is used to working in a multi-disciplinary team. Strong technical skills and experience in financial services, particularly in annuities, is essential. The role is also open to someone making their first move from the Big 4 provided you have relevant experience and understanding of annuities.
You will initially report to the project manager for the product launch; then, following the launch, you will report to the CFO when the role moves to the 'business as usual' stage.

Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of annuities and reinsurance products is essential, including accounting and tax reporting
- Solid understanding of APRA regulatory capital requirements
- Demonstrated track record in managing and delivering a new finance system and processes
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- CPA/CA with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong competencies with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
